Snakadaktal - Fall Underneath

I consider it a crime that the entire world doesn’t know about Snakadaktal. Their newest album is Sleep in the Water, and the best song off the album has got to be Fall Underneath.

Snakadaktal will be releasing their next EP, The Sun II on January 3rd. It will include one original song and four remixes of songs off Sleep in the Water.

Unfortunately, Snakadaktal hasn’t become too well known outside of Australia, so they’re only touring there for now. Will they ever make it to the US? Maybe some day.

Maybe some day.

RAC - Let Go

RAC has teamed up with MNDR and Bloc Party’s Kele to bring us Let Go. RAC is best know for its remixes, but every once in a while RAC creates an original piece, and it’s always worth it.

Want to catch RAC in concert? They’re touring the west coast during the first half of November, before heading over to the east coast for the second half. Check out their full line-up here.

New Navy - Tapioca

If you can listen to this song without bobbing your head to the beat, you might want to get yourself checked out. You might have a problem. I’ve had New Navy’s Tapioca on repeat for the last week and I’m still not over it.

You can definitely hear the British indie and tropical influences in this great summer tune. Damn. So catchy.

Owl City - The Midsummer Station (Acoustic EP)

Owl City’s new acoustic EP isn’t exactly acoustic, but I’m okay with that. I’ll gladly accept new Owl City songs whenever I can get them. The EP includes covers of Good Time, Shooting Star, and Gold, along with two original songs, I Hope You Think of Me and Hey Anna.

This EP comes out while Owl City is working on its fifth studio album. Owl City has stated that the album will be heavily influenced by European trance. How will that compare to Owl City’s dreamy indie pop roots? Who knows. But if Armin Van Buuren’s Youtopia, which Owl City did guest vocals for, is any indication of how it will turn out, then I think we have great things to look forward to.

Sigur Rós - Ísjaki

I have absolutely no clue what this Icelandic band is saying, but this song is beautiful.

The Royal Concept - On Our Way

If this song doesn’t become as overplayed on the radio as a certain fun. song, I will be incredibly disappointed. The Royal Concept’s On Our Way even sounds like it was influenced by fun.’s music, as it uses lots of vocal harmonies.

On Our Way is the fourth single the Royal Concept has released, and each one makes you want to dance more and more. If this isn’t a summer anthem, then I don’t know what is.

Grouplove - Ways to Go

Grouplove just released the first single off their upcoming album, Spreading Rumours. It’ll be out September 17th, and if this song is any indication of how the rest of the album will turn out, we’re in for a treat.

Dillon Francis - I.D.G.A.F.O.S.

Dillon Francis is usually hailed for his dubstep remixes. This time he’s come up with an original piece, and it’s just as worthy. I.D.G.A.F.O.S. has a distinctly 8-bit sound to its chorus and much more modern verses, creating cool transitions between the two.

Avicii feat. Aloe Blacc - Wake Me Up

What is this? Electronic folk? I don’t even know how this genre exists. But it works. It works very well.

To bring us Wake Me Up, Avicii teamed up soul singer Aloe Blacc (you probably recognize him as the singer of I Need a Dollar). The two of them managed to make the perfect blend of the two genres.

Wake Me Up is the first single off Avicii’s upcoming album, #TRUE. You’ll be able to grab that one September 17th. Want to see Avicii in concert? He’ll be in Europe until September. Check out his shows here.
